Has nearly thirty years of
experience of planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of
wide-ranging rural development projects, especially in social development,
Natural Resources Management and rural livelihoods. Was involved in design of
institutional arrangements and project cycles in medium to large scale
programmes like the Indo-German Watershed Development Programme (supported by
KfW-NABARD), District Poverty Initiatives Programme (the World Bank supported
DPIP-MP), Karnataka Tank Rehabilitation Project(supported by the World Bank),
Jalswarajya in Maharashtra (supported by the World Bank), PRI and WASH
programmes in Himachal Pradesh (supported by GtZ), Micro-Area Development
Programme in Afghanistan, Family Strengthening Progrramme of SOS-Kinderdorf,
and Kutch Drought Proofing Programme (supported by MoRD, GOI and PMNRF).
Presently, Chief
Executive Officer of GRASP (Grass Roots Action for Social Participation). Has
worked with notable voluntary organisations like Social Centre, Marathwada
Sheti Sahayya Mandal, Indo German Social Service Socieey and Kutch Nav Nirman
Abhiyan. Has been Director of Poorest Areas Civil Society (PACS) Programme. Has
been Secretary of National Association of Water Resources Development Agencies
(NAWDA).
